Ladies Club

Our ladies meet every Monday from 12:30 – 14:00. The aim of the group is to improve the lives of women in our community, reduce social isolation and build friendships with like-minded women. The ladies enjoy a range of activities such as Bingo, quizzes, arts, and crafts and the occasional day trip out on the community bus.

Playgroup

The Playgroup for babies and pre-school children is an established group which is run by a crew of dedicated volunteers Wednesdays 13:00 – 14:30 during term time. Sessions are well attended so booking is essential. Please contact the centre on 01388 775425 for further information.

Happiness Hub

Funded by the Pioneer Care Partnership and in collaboration with Shildon Town Council, the aim of the Happiness Hub is to provide support for adults aged 18+.  Sessions take place on the second and fourth Friday of every month and include a free game of prize Bingo and  hot meal supplied by Shildon Alive. The group also participate in activities such as quizzes, armchair aerobics, darts and dominoes.

Welcome Space

With thanks to County Durham Community Foundation for their support with funding from the Welcome Spaces, the community centre will be open on a drop-in basis to offer a warm welcome to local residents. Every Monday 10:00 – 12:00 and Wednesday 09:30-11:30, from 8th January to 24th April 2024, a warm, safe place will be available for members of the community to relax and socialise and also enjoy a free hot snack and drinks.
