Welcome to the story behind our walls. At Jubilee Fields Community Centre, we believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and unite. Our landmark mural is more than just a splash of colour—it is a visual heartbeat for Shildon, representing our heritage and our bright future.

The Artist: David G. King

We are proud to have collaborated with the renowned local artist David G. King of Durham Spray Paints. David’s unique style and deep roots in County Durham allowed him to capture the spirit of our community in a way that resonates with everyone who passes by. His work on this project demonstrates how street art can transform a public space into a source of local pride.

The Project: PPG Colourful Communities

This transformation was made possible by the PPG Colourful Communities initiative. This global programme provides volunteers, products, and funding to revitalize community spaces. We were honoured to be chosen as a site for this project, which brought together PPG employee volunteers to work alongside David G. King, turning a simple building into a vibrant work of art.
